Maddi in the Nutcracker…Take 2

Maddi took part in another successful year of Studio West's Nutcracker.  This year she was one of Mother Ginger's children…seriously one of the most adorable parts of the whole show! I am so glad she got to experience this part before she gets too old for it!  Thankfully this part did not require the amount of rehearsing that her Party Girl role did.  While it was a very busy couple of weeks with rehearsals and shows (on top of school and regular ballet classes), I chose not to complain too much because I had last year to compare it to.

passed out on the way to dress rehearsal

I loved her in her ringlet ponytails…something she would never let me do to her in the real world!

so serious and focused!

Do your thing Maddi!

just an adorable bunch of girls!

So bummed this picture turned out so blurry, but Maddi with the Sugar Plum Fairy, who did the most amazing job.  She was such a beauty to watch on stage.  I watched the show three times plus rehearsal, and I could not tire of watching her dance.

so proud!

Maddi & her supportive little brother who came just for the second act to watch his big sister.  There was probably no way he would have lasted through the whole show.

When it was all over with and she was exhausted and Mommy was exhausted, I asked her if she thought she wanted to do it agin next year and it was a most definite, "YES!" with no hesitation.
Good thing we have a year to rest :)
