Doodle, our family's shelf elf made her return from the North Pole for a second year. The kids were very excited to see if she would return and see what she would be up to this time around…
Day 1…
got into one of our gingerbread house kits and had a taste of everything.
Day 2…
She put our angel on the top of the tree.
The tree was so tall, we really needed the help, crooked as it may have been.
Day 3…
She drew all over our faces in this family photo.
Day 4…
Reading a Christmas book to her Pez friends.
Day 5…
She got stuck outside in the cold.
Day 6…
Eating a cookie inside this oven mit.
Day 7…
One night at dinner, Brody was mad about something, so he said, "I don't like Santa…he's a donkey."
Well, next thing we know, Doodle is riding in on a sleigh led by a mule.
Day 8…
Making snow angels in sugar.
Day 9…
Having a midnight popcorn snack.
Day 10…
Getting in the Nutcracker spirit and dancing with one.
Day 11…
Got stuck in a jar.
Day 12…
Doodle began a love affair with the Kipfer's Shelf Elf, Kringle.
Day 13…
She went "fishing" in the sink.
Day 14…
We woke up to find Doodle in the kids' bed like this.
Day 15…
Reading a cookie recipe.
Day 16…
Having a secretive date with Brody's pirate.
Day 17…
Maddi & Brody spent the night with Halmoni & Pop. They came back to decorated cookies.
Day 23…
Leaving a countdown for the kids.
Maddi's birthday…
Apparently, shelf elfs don't just come around for the Christmas season…they make appearances for birthdays and other occasions throughout the year (are you kidding me?!)
Well, seems I missed a few days of photos (or Doodle got tired a few days and stayed put). In any case, I think Doodle did a good job hustling between the North Pole and Wildwood Lane this year. As much as we love Doodle, I'm hoping we don't see her again until December!
