PRESCHOOL!

Brody's first day of preschool went off without a hitch.  He is in a Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoon class and he looks forward to the next day of school as soon as he leaves each day.  He loves EVERY day that he gets to go to school and talks about it every day in between.  There were never any tears on his part, which on one hand has made it a little sad for Mommy (that he can be SUCH a big boy already), but also makes us so happy and proud that he is such an independent, social, ready-to-learn boy.  We are so happy with our choice for him to be at Good Shepherd.  We love everything he is learning and having fun with and look forward to all the other things he will learn (and make) this year.

Side story:  Every single day, we ask him how his day went and try to get from him the names of his teachers and friends.  For DAYS, he mentioned no one but Mrs. McGimpsey (the main teacher/director) and Mrs. Kitten.  When asked about Mrs. Kitten, we would get that he is a little boy who looks like him with blue eyes and is his friend at school, who he plays with every day.  Finally, one day I asked my dad (who takes and picks him up each day) to ask Mrs. McGimpsey about this so called Mrs. Kitten.  She of course said, there is no such child (really?!) but that Brody is "very social" and it would not surprise her if this was his imaginary friend.  WE ARE JUST EATING THIS UP!
Can't wait to hear this year about all of Brody's adventures with Mrs. Kitten.

First day of school happened to be Blue Friday, also TWIN DAY for these two.
Love that they get this bonding time every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!

This is Brody's school bag.  Every kid got one, which they decorated and take back and forth to school each day.  It ALWAYS comes home with beautiful, stickered, glittery, painted artwork...

the infamous OFFICE.  He has talked about this kid office ever since the first time he laid eyes on it months ago when checking out the school.
