VIVA LAS VEGAS

A couple months before my birthday, Brock called me at work and told me he was planning a trip to Vegas for my birthday and to make sure I could take the time off. He's been to Vegas and I've been to Vegas, but we've never been together, so we were both really excited for the fun we knew we'd have together. We were also going with our friend Brian and his girlfriend, Melissa, so we were looking forward to some fun with another couple.

We left EARLY on the morning of my birthday (Friday, December 9th) and had all day/night, all day Saturday, and then pretty much all day Sunday, as we had a late evening flight back home.

Some of the highlights of the trip:

  • my facial at Oleksandra Spa & Salon
  • realizing $350 stolen from my wallet (inside my locked locker) once out of my facial
  • Musashi Japanese Steakhouse (highly recommended not only for the food, but also for the entertainment by owner/Chef Modai)
  • dancing @ LAVO (in The Palazzo)
  • bull riding at Gilley's (in Treasure Island)
  • roller coaster riding @ New York New York
  • watching Mystere (also highly recommended...we also thought Maddi would LOVE it)
  • eating late night Pho at our hotel
  • playing lots of slots and not really losing a ton
  • my hot stone massage at Oleksandra Spa & Salon (and not taking any cash with me to be stolen)
  • breakfast buffet at the hotel
  • checking out the Christmas decorations, especially the display at the Bellagio

Before going out Friday night...

Hanging out/walking the strip Saturday...
