Our pretty ballerina

This summer will mark year 3 of dance for Maddi. At 2.5 years old, she began Baby Ballet @ Studio West Dance Academy. At 3.5 years old, she began Discover Dance (a 4-5 year old class), which is a combination of ballet and tap dance. Now at 5.5 years old, she will move up once again. We have been taking a break from dance during the summers, but Maddi is really insistent on taking classes, especially since starting in the summer she can begin Pre-Ballet (a 6-7 year old class). Her ballet teacher, Miss MC (who she has had from the very beginning, and who we absolutely love) says that Maddi is very ready to move up to the next level. Not only does she get to move up in ballet, but once you reach the "6 year old" level, the door opens up to other types of dance, like hip-hop and jazz. SO, in the fall, she will continue pre-ballet of course, but will also add jazz to her schedule. Since we began dance, we have moved up from 30 minute classes, now going on to hour long classes...also from $50 a month in classes to $96 a month!! It really is all worth it, as she LOVES to go still and learns so much. We may be a little biased, but she is really good at it too =)
