I woke up on Mother's Day to a special treat of breakfast in bed. Maddi's version of course...
1. screaming at us from the kitchen, looking for a stool and upset that we were out of milk (though it ended up being okay, since Mom doesn't like milk anyway)
2. spilling cereal all over the kitchen floor
3. bringing mom a Spongebob tray of dry marshmallow cereal
She was adamant about bringing Mom breakfast in bed by herself and since she can't cook on a hot stove, this was what she could do...it is definitely the thought that counts!
Of course got flowers and cards from Brock and the babes...and a Starbucks run! My main present was a very creative and thoughtful idea from Brock...he bought a 12x12 shadow box, Pluffy (craft putty), and tools and did handprints of the kids and left a big hole in the middle for a picture of the kids and then cooked it (so it would harden). However, that's the stage it has remained in since Mother's Day...haha! He still needs to paint it with Maddi and put their names and age and find a good picture of them to put in the middle. Again, it is definitely the thought that counts! WILL love it when it is complete =)
On Mother's Day and always, I feel so blessed to have such beautiful, sweet, happy and healthy children, but also feel so blessed to have such a supportive and loving mom and grandma who are so instrumental in helping us to raise these babies of ours.
