We haven't seen my friend Bree and her family in quite a while...oh, say since August. That is just WAY too long. They live in Vancouver, WA, which is about a couple hour drive from us but still no excuse to go so long without seeing each other. It just gets hard when you have two families with full-time working parents and 5 kiddos to pack up between the two families. Brock was on call, so he wasn't able to go down with us, but Maddi and Brody were great on the drive down. We got down there and hung out at the house for a little while and exchanged the kids' (late) birthday presents to/from each other and then bundled them up for a 2 mile walk to the Vancouver Saturday Market. It was a little chilly, but sunny and a beautiful day for a walk and the market.
the big sisters, Maddi & Olivia...who by the way played SO good together. up until this visit, the one and a half year age gap made it hard for them to get along well, so I'm so happy that they can both verbalize well with each other and have similar enough interests to hang out and have fun!
