On Monday, April 11th, Brody went in for his one year visit with Dr. O'Leary. He got measured and was at:
- 29.5 inches (50th percentile)
- 21.4 pounds (25th percentile)
- 47 cm in head circumference
I was shocked at his weight because he eats so good, yet only gained a pound and a half in 3 months! The doctor wasn't worried though; she said it's normal for kids who are as active as he is. Okay, whatever you say! He was so happy and flirty the entire appointment, but then it was time for the vaccinations and I felt so bad, because obviously he had no idea what was to come! He needed to get three vaccinations:
- MMR
- Chicken Pox
- Hepatitis A
He did cry a bit, but it didn't last long. The doctor said he might get a rash and/or fever in a week or so from his MMR, but he has done really well!
We are so blessed to have such happy, healthy babies. Our well visits are always pleasant (minus the pokes!) so i'm really thankful for that! Our pediatric office does well visits a little differently, so he'll go back in at 16 months (instead of the typical 15 months). Hopefully he puts some weight on in the next few months!
