Maureen's baby shower for her baby girl Maeve Catherine was on Saturday @ her friend, Becca's beautiful home in Seattle. While all the girls were "showering" Maureen with food, gifts, and fun, Brock & Vitaliy drank beer, ate McDonald's and shot guns all day. We managed to get ALL of Maureen's many wonderful gifts into our car, brought home to the boys some Red Robin take-out and stayed the night with the Nikonovs. We don't get to hang out with them nearly enough. It was a great time for the boys to hot tub and drink more beer and for Maureen and I to go through all her pretty baby girl stuff in her beautiful new nursery.
The next morning, Brock and I headed out for a Sunday brunch cruise on Lake Washington. It was through a company called Seattle Waterways Tours and we definitely recommend it. The food was great and it was the perfect length for eating and a casual cruise around the huge lake. We got to check out the homes of Bill Gates and Paul Allen...MASSIVE compounds. As parents, it is always nice to get away when we can. We hardly ever even get a date night, so it was nice. Of course by the end of the weekend, we missed the kiddos and were ready to see them =)
