Brody @ 8 months

Brody is growing so stinkin' fast! He is almost 8 months and is changing and growing EVERY single day. It is amazing to see what new things he learns and gets into each day and to also see such a difference in how active and curious he is versus Maddi at his age.

He now has FOUR teeth, his two upper and two lower. He eats anything you give him. I honestly don't think he's disliked any kind of food we've fed him.

loves rice

He crawls ALL over the place and just the other day pulled himself up by himself TWICE...once using the lower drawer in our bathroom and then again on the couch. He wants to be down on the floor to explore all the time, but he gets into EVERYTHING he is NOT supposed to. You can lay all sorts of toys out in front of him, but he's mainly concerned with cords of any kind, the Comcast remote control, outlets, vents, drawers and cabinets that will open and shut right on his finger, and as of yesterday...plants and dirt. Clearly, we are at the point of "Brody proofing" our house. We haven't gotten around to it yet, so we've just had to keep a VERY close eye on him, but this weekend all of that baby proofing will definitely get done.

getting into his favorite kitchen drawer (not sure the fascination...it's just towels and placemats...)
I think he just likes the fact that he can reach it and it opens and shuts

"what mom?...I just wanna help you vacuum"

Last night, I woke up to find him standing up in his crib and realized he is very close to climbing OUT of it, so something else to add to our "Brody proofing" list...lower the crib mattress!

Still, despite him keeping us on our toes, we are enjoying every last second with him. He just has the best disposition. He is so smily all the time. Our friend Mandy is always telling us that we should get him into modeling and that he is the smiliest and happiest baby she has ever seen. I really think when people tell you that you have a happy baby, that that is the best compliment a parent can get. That's of course what he all strive for as parents, right? To have happy babies?bath time with sissy...he will hate me for these pictures one day =)

smelling the Bounce drier sheets when he was really tired...

Maddi & Brody playing...she is THE best big sister EVER...she is so unbelievably good to this little boy.

Thanks Mandy & Jeremy for my first Christmas jammies!
Notice the tongue...he does this a lot, I think it makes his gums feel better, but it is one of my favorite things that he does...so cute!
