Douglas and Lewis are my cousins; brothers who share the same birthday...12 years apart.
Doug turned the big 21 this year. while Lewis turned 9.
We normally don't get to spend their birthdays with them, since they live so far away (Oak Harbor) and especially now with Doug all the way over at WSU.
This year was special though. It just happened to have been Doug's 21st, but he also had JUST gotten back from Basic Training & AIT. He left for Basic Training in the summer and as soon as he was done with that, began AIT. This meant he missed his first semester of his junior year at WSU. But by everything I've heard from him, I don't think he'd change a thing. It sounds like he had quite the experience and learned a lot about himself and what he sees for his future. He starts back up at WSU for second semester right after the holidays. Our family is very proud of this young man and were so happy we were able to help him ring in his 21st!
