We absolutely LOVE summertime at our house...we wait all year for weather nice enough to jump in for a splash. Mom and Brody have higher standards for lake temps, so we don't get as much time in the lake as Daddy & Maddi who would jet ski or swim when it's just 70 degrees outside. When Daddy wasn't working and when Mom wasn't dragging the kids around town for this that and the other, our summer consisted of hanging out at home, BBQ'ing, having friends and family over, jet skiing, swimming, lounging on our "relaxation station"...
gotta get in some sprinkler fun too, of course!
When Brock takes Brody out for rides, he HAS to have his hands on the handles and navigate himself...
Maddi has become SUCH a fish...I feel like we've made progress each summer that we've been in our house, but this summer, we really made gains! She started jumping in, which was HUGE! and then stopped plugging her nose later in the summer. If she could swim without a life jacket, she totally would (of course we won't let her though) 
she's such a goon...
