On Monday, Brock and I took Maddi to her new school, Capital Montessori for a one-hour practice class. She got to see her new classroom, get all her stuff in her cubbies, meet her new teachers, and check out the playground outside. She had no problems marching right into the classroom...Mom and Dad didn't even get a
Then, Tuesday came and it was the real deal...9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Mommy dropped her off in the morning, and again she was "little miss independent". Daddy picked her up and she wasn't ready to leave her friends! She said she had a great day and made lots of friends (although she couldn't name any of them =). The only thing she didn't like was "rest time".
So here we were this morning (Wednesday...second full day) having breakfast and the poor thing started crying because she did NOT want to go to school. What a shocker! This totally came out of left field. The more she talked between breakfast and school, I found out she cried yesterday because she didn't want to "rest". The whole ride to school this morning, she kept saying "Mom, can't you just turn the car around and go home?" There were some tears this morning, but the teacher said she had a great rest of the day and even took a nap!
We'll see what tomorrow brings...

So how has preschool been turning out? Man, I would be loving the naps they get! I'm starting to get a little burnt out and we've only been in school three weeks. My goal is to last until Thanksgiving - we'll see!
She looks so adorable! Hope she gets used to "rest time" so she can enjoy school!
